Will 3D Television Be As Popular As Everyone Is Expecting?

Many people believe that 3D television is really going to take off and be then next big thing in home entertainment. There are claims that our viewing habits are going to be totally revolutionised with the advent of the 3D television. We will be able to be a part of the action instead of just sitting back as a passive viewer. Manufacturers have been quick to realise that there is genuine excitement out there about the possibility of 3D television. There are many 3D televisions due for release in 2011 and some of these are going to be quite cheap.

However there are some naysayers out there who complain that 3D television is not going to be half as good as we are hoping it to be. The fact that it could cause some health problems particularly in the eyes is a big concern to many people. It is thought that wearing the necessary 3D glasses will over time, put a strain on the eyes. Manufacturers are tying to create a 3D television which won’t require glasses but it will be quite some time before this has been introduced to the market at a reasonable price.

At the end of the day the jury is still deliberating on how good these first generation 3D televisions are going to be. Most people won’t actually buy one of these televisions until they see what others think of them first. It is going to be exciting though and the idea of watching things like football in 3D in the comfort of your own home has a lot of people full of anticipation. And even if they don’t become the norm this year, it won’t be long before they are a regular in almost every household.
