My Picture of an Ideal Leader

Having been in the line of dynamic leaders in a religious youth organization for two years is an experience I will never forget. I was able to work with dynamic youth leaders with great achievements yet who remain down-to-earth and approachable to everybody. I consider my position as a very great privilege that helped me improved in so many ways. Working with such kind of people are a great challenge because I need to keep up with their standards or leading and serving others. It trained me to become a good leader not just to our members but to all the other people I encountered along my life’s journey.

One of the things or people that I will never forget in this experience was our president whom I always look at as an ideal leader. He is simply in so many ways yet his physical features project something different that makes other people pay him with utmost respect. Even the way he projects himself physically will tell people of his great leadership style. He is usually dressed in white formal long or short sleeved mens dress shirts and in a pair of black pants with black leather shoes. Despite a lot of problems and challenges, he always tries to approach people with a huge and sincere smile. He has this great drive that makes people do things they didn’t expect that they could do. He maintains a very high standard of leadership style that everybody tries to meet up.

In every formal occasion, he sets high standards for the attire. He disciplined all leaders to dress formally, to be presentable since this is a sign of respect for the occasion and for ourselves. He wants to see everybody to be in presentable white ladies and mens dress shirts

I have seen a lot of leaders who comes in an event clad in very presentable manner, on custom dress shirts and nice pants, but what you see on the outside is not exactly what they are on the inside, most especially as a leader. Many youth leaders are only concerned with themselves, on how their image would look if they did this or that.

A person who shows a pleasant personality, both on the outside and inside, is a picture of my ideal leader. My idea of a dynamic leader is simply “Kuya Bentot,” among the others I know. He’s the Christian Youth Organization’s previous president.
